MSL Trainings - Columbus, Ohio - June 9 & 10 - International Conference on Conflict Resolution Education - Ohio State University

I'm excited about the upcoming International Conference on Conflict Resolution Education at Ohio State University this June!

I'll be presenting this daylong MSL training as a pre-conference workshop on June 9, from 9 - 5.

For more information, check out Workshop #11, page 9:

Mediation as a Second Language: Teaching Integrated Courses in ESL and Conflict Management for International and First-Generation Students

This interactive MSL workshop will include an introduction to basic conflict resolution theory and skills and “ready-to-go” materials to integrate conflict resolution and ESL for high intermediate - advanced ESL students from middle school through post-graduate programs.

I'll also describe MSL applications to orientation programs, dorm life, clubs and academic skills to help international and 1st- generation students contribute to peaceful and global campus communities.

Students are especially welcome to participate in this training. You can learn how to teach MSL® -type classes, too. See what my UC Berkeley students are doing with DeCal classes they created.

I'll also be presenting a short 90-minute introduction to MSL on June 10, from 2:15 - 3:45.

If you can't attend the Conference workshops but would like to arrange a workshop or meeting in Columbus during the week of June 13, please contact me.

I hope to see you in Columbus this June!
